Mandatory Password Change Client Message

As we are constantly looking to improve account security, we’ve recently made some changes to email verification and password security, specifically for older accounts. If you receive a message when logging into the game client stating that “You must change your password before proceeding,” please log into your ArenaNet account on the website and update your password.

The full error message is below:

You must change your password before proceeding. ArenaNet has implemented several new password policies that have proven to greatly increase the security of our players’ accounts. As your password has not been updated since these changes took place, we are requiring a one-time reset to bring your password in line with our new guidelines.
