On the last Friday of each month, players are assigned to new teams for the season in an effort to ensure better population balances.
Teams are composed of WvW Guilds and Individual Players who have participated in World vs. World recently. All players who select a WvW Guild will be sorted together into the same team.
You can find instructions of how to set your WvW Guild and how to register as a new/inactive player at the bottom of this article.

After team assignment and the start of the new season, players will be able to register for next season's team assignment. It is important to make your selections during the registration period.
If you didn't get to play with your preferred guild, make sure your WvW Guild is set correctly now!

NOTE: Once a new season begins, and team creations are complete, the Support Team cannot make any additional changes to the season's teams.
To set your WvW Guild, follow these steps:
1. Click the Guild (crest) icon.
2. Select the guild you would like to play WvW with.
3. Click the Set as WvW Guild button.
Registration for new or inactive players:
If you enter the game, and are unable to join WvW due to having no assigned team, you should follow the below steps to select your team.
1. In-game, click the WvW (tower) icon:
2. Select the "World Restructuring - BETA" tab to select your preferred Team and click Join Team:
