Managing Payment Information

The Black Lion Trading Company—more commonly known as the Gem Store—is where you can purchase tools, skins, and exchange your gems for gold as you upgrade your account!

  • Press [O] in the game (by default) or click the Lion icon (Black_Lion_Menu_Bar_icon.png) in the upper left corner of the screen to open the Gem Store.

When you make your first purchase, you'll be prompted to enter and save your payment details on our secure payment servers. We recommend doing so if you plan to make purchases in the future, as doing so will save you from having to enter all of your payment details every time you buy something from the Gem Store.

If you want to update or manage your payment options, follow the instructions below depending on what you'd like to change.

Adding a Payment Method

The first time you make a gem purchase in the Gem Store, you will be asked to add a payment method to your account:

  1. Open the Gem Store. The default key is [O].
  2. Click on the "Buy Gems" button.
  3. Choose a gem amount and select your payment method.
  4. Press Next.
  5. Now enter your billing information.
  6. If you want to save this billing information, check the corresponding box:
    • If you are using a credit or debit card, check the "Save This Card" checkbox.

    • If you are using Paypal, check the "Remember for Faster Checkout" checkbox.

  7. Click the Next button to continue with your purchase. Your payment method will be saved when you complete your purchase.

Updating a Payment Method

If you saved your payment information during a previous purchase, you can change it by selecting a new method of payment or changing the details of the information we have on file.

For example, if you have a credit card saved for your account, you can either choose a different method (such as PayPal) to complete your purchase, or you can select Credit Card again to enter a new credit or debit card:

  1. Open the Gem Store. The default key is [O].
  2. Click on the "Buy Gems" button.
  3. Choose a gem amount and select your payment method.
  4. Update your credit card or PayPal information.
  5. Click the Next button to continue with your purchase. Your payment method will be saved when you complete your purchase.

Remember to check the box to save the new card if you want to use it for future purchases.

Removing a Payment Method

If you want to remove a saved Credit or Debit card, you can do so via the Gem Store:

  1. Open the Gem Store. The default key is [O].
  2. Click on the "Buy Gems" button.
  3. Choose any gem amount and select the payment method you have saved.
  4. Press Next.
  5. Click the Remove Billing Information link.
  6. You will receive a prompt confirming that you want to remove your payment details.
  7. Select Yes.
  8. Your information will be cleared from the payment fields. You can now close the Gem Store.

If you also want to permanently remove your personal information—including your name, billing address, and email address—please submit a ticket with your request so our Support team can take care of it for you.

How do I use a debit card to make a purchase?

You can use a debit card the same way you use a credit card! Simply choose the amount of gems you want to purchase, select the “Credit Card” option, and then click the “Next” button to enter your debit card information.

Can I save my payment information for future purchases?

If you pay using a credit or debit card, yes! Just click the box that says “Save This Card." For your security, you will still be asked to enter the security code (CVV) for every purchase.

How do I remove the name and address I have on file?

If you want to remove your personal details, please submit a ticket and our Support team will take care of it for you.
